The Assistant Project Manager’s role is to assist the Project Manager through the life cycle of a construction project, including but not limited to, assisting in estimating, subcontract development, procurement, job cost management, billing, etc. You will be responsible for multiple projects in various locations throughout the country.
Responsibilities & tasks include, but are not limited to:
Ordering drawings and construction materials
Determining the necessary trades on construction plans
Communicating with owner's rep, landlord, subcontractors, vendors and client project managers
Qualifying subcontractors and bids
Cold calling subcontractors for bid solicitation
Handling travel arrangements for Project Managers and Superintendents
Maintaining all documentation and filing pertaining to each project
Preparing invoices and waivers
Communicating effectively between project manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and customer
Qualifications & Experience:
College degree
Construction experience required
Experience with Procore
Understanding as well as being able to adapt to new software
Must be proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer usage
Must be a clear communicator and display professionalism at all times
Must have excellent written and speaking skills
Must be organized and able to multi-task
Must be self motivated
Valid driver’s license necessary

Job Duties:
· Assisting the estimating team members with daily tasks
· Assisting the estimating department with the entire bidding and estimating process
· Contacting building departments for permitting requirements
· Contacting subcontractors to qualify bids
· Ensuring that we are receiving multiple bids in a particular trade for upcoming projects
· Completing general conditions forms in Excel
