Retail Construction Project Manager
A Retail Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of multiple projects within various locations throughout the country. Over the course of a project, the Project Manager will need to communicate with Owners/Owner’s Representatives, staff, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and building code officials, to make decisions while monitoring the progress of the project to keep it on schedule and on budget.

Responsibilities:

• Creating long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
• Negotiating contracts with external vendors and subcontractors to reach profitable agreements
• Determining resources needed (manpower, equipment, and materials) from project start to finish within budgetary limitations
• Coordinating and scheduling client vendors
• Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals
• Performing ongoing quality control throughout the duration of each project
• Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed
• Maintaining project finances by invoicing timely, managing change orders, and reviewing/approving supplier invoices
• Preserving and creating client relationships

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry
• Superior blueprint reading skills
• Familiarity with construction management software (i.e. Procore)
• Experience supervising a team
• Deadline driven and detail-oriented
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience with budget development and tracking
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel upon request
• Business development contacts a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting salary between $75k-$100k based on experience and knowledge
• No salary cap

General Contractor in the North Hills of Pittsburgh seeks a full-time Traveling Superintendent with extensive knowledge of commercial and retail construction. Successful applicant will be asked to travel. Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office and Excel. Procore experience is a plus. Applicant must also be proficient in blueprint reading, completing daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork -- most of which is digital. Valid DL is a must.

Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager’s role is to assist the Project Manager through the life cycle of a construction project. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects in various locations throughout the country.

Responsibilities:

• Ordering drawings and construction materials
• Determining the necessary trades on construction plans
• Communicating with owner's rep, landlord, subcontractors, vendors and client project managers
• Qualifying subcontractors and bids
• Calling subcontractors for bid solicitation
• Handling travel arrangements for Project Managers and Superintendents
• Maintaining all documentation pertaining to each project
• Preparing invoices and waivers
• Communicating effectively between project manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and customer

Qualifications & Experience:

• Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Must be organized and able to multi-task
• Self-motivated
• Valid driver’s license necessary
• Experience in the construction industry or blueprint reading is a plus
